Mobile Learning Labs provide diverse learning opportunities outside traditional classrooms, such as coding sessions, robotics workshops, and engaging activities, ensuring a well-rounded education. The labs also address learning loss by offering structured programs and events with a curriculum that combines education with interactive elements
NVS actively fights food insecurity by providing meals during life skills workshops, sporting events, and through Mobile Learning Labs. The organization has delivered an impressive 30,000 free meals, recognizing the vital connection between consistent access to food and children's overall well-being. Additionally, NVS emphasizes community and family engagement, recognizing that educational success is intertwined with community support.
NVS goes beyond the traditional school day with comprehensive aftercare services. This includes homework assistance, innovative education, and reinforcement of practical lessons learned in school, ensuring a holistic educational experience. The integration of aftercare services and youth sports demonstrates a commitment to ongoing support for youth beyond the traditional school day. The organization also takes a holistic approach to education, incorporating not only traditional academic learning but also life skills education, recreational activities, and innovative learning experiences.
Youth Workforce Program
Purpose of the Opportunity
Our nonprofit organizations (Change 4 Hope & NVS Building Communities Program) are dedicated to supporting the growth and success of high school students by providing real-world exposure beyond the classroom. This opportunity is designed for students who have completed their academic credits and have time available during the school day. Through this program, students will:
• Gain hands-on experience in community-focused work that develops professionalism, efficiency, and responsibility.
• Explore real-world skills and workplace expectations that prepare them for future education and careers.
• Contribute meaningful service to the community while strengthening their personal development. In addition, participating students will receive community service hours, a reference letter to support their future goals, and recognition of their contributions as part of their graduation journey. This program connects education with experience—helping students walk across the stage not only with their diploma, but also with valuable skills, service, and confidence for the road ahead.
